Occupational Therapy Guidebook to Inclusion (Eastern Armenian version)

Authored by our founder, V. Armineh Babikian, MS, OTR/L, an occupational therapist who has worked with people labeled with developmental and intellectual disabilities for the past six years in New York City and Armenia. Her 100-page guidebook introduces occupational therapy and inclusive approaches to support caregivers and non-clinicians who work with or have loved ones labeled with developmental disabilities. The Guidebook includes social stories, clear and simple descriptions of common developmental delays and disabilities (including Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and more), as well as pictured activities and modifications with household items to promote independence related to daily activities (dressing, toileting, cutting, writing, play, etc.). The Guidebook has been so well received in Armenia and Artsakh with over 1000 copies donated to newly inclusive schools, developmental and rehabilitation centers, and NGOs via WorldVision Armenia & Children of Armenia Fund.
