Introducing ICDR-Armenia: A New Chapter in Disability and Rehabilitation Partnerships

The International Centre for Disability and Rehabilitation (ICDR) at the University of Toronto, in partnership with Therapists for Armenia (TFA), is excited to announce the launch of ICDR-Armenia, a new student-led country group dedicated to strengthening rehabilitation, inclusion, and disability rights across Armenia. This initiative brings together rehabilitation professionals, educators, students, and researchers from Armenia and the diaspora to enhance education, expand accessible clinical resources, and promote equitable access to care in low-resource and post-conflict regions.

Guided by ICDR’s mission to advance global health equity through collaboration and social justice, ICDR-Armenia will empower students across rehabilitation disciplines to engage in interprofessional learning, research, and service. The group aims to build leadership, foster advocacy, and cultivate a generation of clinicians committed to sustainable, justice-oriented systems of care worldwide. TFA and ICDR look forward to embarking on this meaningful collaboration and the shared impact it will create.
